Still, after closer inspection and especially when in use, the design’s understated yet well-considered detailing reveals. Sculpted with the human body in mind, the shell draws you in, supporting and encapsulating you while seated. Almost resembling a pebble beautifully worn by the action of water, the smooth and tightly upholstered seat cushion ensures unequalled comfort.
The chair is offered with legs in black powder-coated steel as well as brown and black stained oak. The outer sides of the oak legs are rounded, whilst the inner part is plane and meets the wooden seat frame in an elegant curve. With an almost invisible transition between the upholstered seat and the legs, the steel version adds a more graphic character to the design, further accentuated by its slim and tapered profile.
